Spreading Acts of Kindness!

Today, we focused on one of our favorite things: spreading kindness!

The kids created Kindness Kits filled with simple ways to make someone’s day a little brighter. Each kit included:

  • Kindness Notes – We wrote little notes of kindness to leave around our homes for family members to find.

  • A Cup of Kindness – We created a special treat bag to share with an older adult in our lives or someone who could use a little extra kindness.

  • M&M’s for a Road Warrior – We added a kind message to a bag of M&M’s for someone who drives miles and miles for us, like a delivery driver or bus driver.

  • Dog Treats – We filled a treat bag to give to a friendly dog we meet on a walk.

  • Pay It Forward – We put quarters in a little envelope to help pay for someone’s parking meter.

  • Thank a Service Worker – We wrote a thank-you card for someone who helps our community every day.

The kids brought their Kindness Kits home today, so we’d love to hear how it went! We hope they were able to share their bags with their families and ask a grown-up to help them spread their acts of kindness throughout the week. We can’t wait to hear about the kindness they shared!

Next week, we’ll be learning about our local birds and making bird feeders to help provide food for them.
