New Monday Class Series for Grades 3 - 5 : Skills for Good!
Session 1 - Media Makers
This eight-week series will guide students through the process of storytelling using both audio and visual media. Students will explore podcasting and documentary filmmaking while learning about a local nonprofit organization and creating media that highlights its work.
Hours: 4:00 - 5:30 / Dates: 9/14, 9/28, 10/5, 10/19, 10/26, 11/2, 11/9, 11/16
Fee: $40 per week / Location: 75 Vernon St. Newton Corner
Session 2 - Service Through Song
In this five-week service-learning series, students will use music as a tool for connection by preparing a performance inspired by the musical memories and preferences of local seniors.
Hours: 4:00 - 5:30 / Dates: 11/23, 11/30, 12/7, 12/14, 12/21
Fee: $40 per week / Location: 75 Vernon St. Newton Corner
Session 3 - Cooking for a Cause
Hours: 4:00 - 5:30 / Dates: 1/4, 1/11, 1/25, 2/1, 2/8, 2/22
Fee: $40 per week / Location: 75 Vernon St. Newton Corner
Tuesday After School Program

Location: 75 Vernon St. Newton Corner
Hours: 3:00 - 5:30 (flexible drop-off and pick up times)
Fee: $130/month with a 5% sibling discount

Our after school programs pair service learning and fun! We are at, but not affiliated with, the Newton Presbyterian Church in Newton Corner doing a new, hands-on community service project each week, as well as outdoor play, friendship building, and more! Click on the “Service Stories” tab to see examples of some our projects. We offer a supervised walk from Underwood as well as transportation from the Newton Elementary Schools for an additional fee on Wednesdays.
