About the Position:
Service Stars is seeking a dynamic, community-minded educator to partner with our team in delivering our service learning curriculum for children in grades K - 8. Our ideal candidate will enthusiastically cultivate a passion for community service among our students. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree and classroom teaching experience. This is a part-time position with flexible hours in Newton, MA. Must be available during school hours and/or during after school programming. Pay is hourly and negotiable.
Responsibilities:
Must be available during school hours and/or during after school programming
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Implement a variety of community service lessons and projects
Plan and implement engaging age appropriate activities
Supervise and ensure the safety of students at all times
Communicate with parents and guardians regarding student engagement and behavior
Work collaboratively with the other teachers in the program
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
Classroom teaching experience
Passion for community service, education, or youth development

Service Stars is seeking a dynamic, community minded individual to fill a hybrid role that blends direct teaching responsibilities with essential administrative and program support functions. This position is ideal for an educator who enjoys working with students while also contributing to program coordination, operations, and continuous improvement. The role plays a key part in ensuring our educational programs are effective, well-organized, and aligned with our mission. Our ideal candidate will enthusiastically cultivate a passion for community service among our students and staff. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree and classroom teaching experience. This is a part-time position with flexible hours in Newton, MA. Pay is hourly and negotiable.
Responsibilities:
Assist with curriculum development, program evaluation, and continuous improvement efforts
Coordinate with staff, volunteers, and partners to ensure smooth program delivery
Work closely with program leadership and fellow educators to align instruction with organizational goals
Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and planning sessions
Communicate professionally with students, families, and community partners
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Plan and Implement a variety of community service lessons and projects
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, a related field, or equivalent experience
Teaching experience in a classroom, nonprofit, or community-based setting
Strong organizational and administrative skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and shift between instructional and administrative tasks
