October Theme: Creating Community!

We kicked off our October theme of "Creating Community" this week.

Our Red Stars continued to work on Happy Mail, our ongoing card writing campaign we will be taking on in support of  Newton at Home . The students wrote some truly thoughtful letters that I know will make some local seniors feel connected!

Next we moved on to focus on our Annual Family picnic. Our Red Stars will take the lead at the picnic by running some fun carnival games that families can enjoy. This week they worked together to create those games! We hope to see you all next week at the Fall Family Picnic from 5pm - 7pm at 75 Vernon Street. RSVP here!

Questions to ask your students:

1) What is your job at the picnic (carnival game, raffle tickets, temporary tattoo booth)? What did you do to prepare?

2) We are donating a portion of the money raised at our picnic this year to what cause? (Answer: Newton at Home)

3) Are there any raffle baskets you are super excited about?
