Making Connections and Making a Difference!

A few questions to ask your Green Star about today:

  • What was your favorite part of visiting Evans Park?

  • How can we build connections with our neighbors?

  • What goes in each of our recycling center bins?

Today, we visited Evans Park to spend time with the residents, play bingo, and build connections with our neighbors. We talked about how being part of a community means getting to know the people around us, spending time together, and finding ways to show others that they matter.

We were SO impressed with and proud of our Green Stars for how they interacted with our new friends at Evans Park! They did such a wonderful job engaging with the residents, sharing smiles, and making connections. We also delivered the dirt cup desserts made by our Blue Stars yesterday, which was a sweet way for our Tuesday and Wednesday teams to work together to spread kindness throughout our community.

Back at Service Stars, we had another exciting learning opportunity! Our Green Stars learned about the new recycling centers created by our Yellow and Red Stars. Some of our Red Stars even came to teach us what belongs in each bin: trash, recycling, plastic film, office supplies, and compost. We learned how sorting our waste properly can help us take better care of our Earth!

We love seeing our Stars learn from one another and work together to make our community a kinder, more thoughtful, and more sustainable place.

Our teachers also got in on the fun dressing up as the Service Stars star icons! ⭐️

Hope everyone has a fun and safe Halloween!
