Trick or Treating at Sunrise Senior Living & Making Dirt Cups for Seniors!

Trick or Treating!

A few questions to ask your Service Star about today:

  • What was your favorite part of trick-or-treating at Sunrise?

  • Why is it important to spend time with people from different generations?

  • How do you think we made the residents feel today?

  • What is one way you can help someone in your community feel included and valued?

We had such a fun Early Release day! We started our day by putting on our Halloween costumes and heading to Sunrise Senior Living to go trick-or-treating! Our Service Stars loved sharing some Halloween excitement with the residents, spreading smiles, and bringing a little extra holiday spirit to their day.

Our costume lineup was quite the sight, featuring everything from an inflatable chicken and a ninja to Taylor Swift, Mario, a vampire, a cat, a fox, and a witch. We even had two of the Three Little Pigs make an appearance!

It was quite the crew, and the costumes brought plenty of extra fun and personality to an already fun afternoon!

During our visit, we talked about why it is important to connect with people from different generations. Even a small gesture, like sharing a smile, saying hello, or stopping by for a visit, can help someone feel remembered and included.

Making Dirt Cups for seniors at Evans Park!

After trick-or-treating, some of our Stars stuck around for more fun, rolling up their sleeves to make delicious dirt cups for the seniors at Evans Park. Complete with chocolate pudding, whipped cream, crushed Oreos, and gummy worms, these treats are a sweet way to spread a little cheer and bring smiles to more neighbors!
