Random Acts of Kindness

Service Stars rang in the new year with a whole lot of kindness. Our service Stars worked on making a Kindness Tool Kits and left with a bag full of Random Acts of kindness to spread in our community. From thank you notes for their teachers to hand warmers for people working out in the cold, the Stars made sure that there was some kindness for almost everyone!

We also brought Random Acts of Kindness to our summer camp program! After a super busy morning of preparation the kids broke into our kindness groups. Armed with Starbucks cards, quarters, and $15 we set off to spread some joy In Newtonville! Each group determined how they would spend their money and who to gift with joy. We paid for people’s parking meters, bought Gatorade for construction workers, gave out gift cards, pre paid for coffee, bought other people’s ice cream cones, left money in the laundromat, and bought toys for some kids in the neighborhood. The kids loved it, the store workers loved it, and the kindness recipients loved it.
